Leonicio had never thought that one of his first missions would be alongside a high-ranking member within the crime syndicate. Things were already looking up for him; proof that he'd been born under a lucky star. Lulu Flint exuded an aura of absolute authority he was mildly envious of.

Unfortunately, she wasn't very talkative, sharing very little information on what their mission was about. All he knew was that they were looking for stray Porygon, which was a simple task all things considered. Those digital ducks did stick out like a sore thumb, after all.

While the Rocket underboss went into a deli, Leo walked into the nearby shop as instructed with his Kirlia in tow. The door chime rang, but the clerk - a middle-aged man with a handlebar mustache and an afro - hardly noticed Leo's presence. He was too busy staring at his phone screen, playing the new otome game while on the job no doubt.

"NOOOOO!!" Afro Guy suddenly screamed in dismay. "My app crashed! Just as I was about to complete BELLE DELPHOX's romance route too!" His screaming only intensified when a Porygon popped out of his phone screen, zipping around the store and knocking several displays over.

"Boss, you might wanna see this!" The young Rocket grunt yelled from across the street, blocking the exit with his body so that the artificial Pokémon could not escape.

a quick pass through the deli turned up nothing of interest, and it was too busy to be tolerable for long. she exited, letting the metal door clammer shut and snap at her heel. leonicio’s alert then decided her next destination.[break][break]
she cut into the street, causing a car to honk and slam on its breaks. when the driver blinked, however, she was gone.[break][break]
from a shadowy corner of the shop, she around a corner to see them both there—along with the porygon that was causing chaos around the store.[break][break]

”good work,” she called to leonicio. ”now, make sure it doesn’t escape.”

Porygon's pupils flashed red, as it performed a full body scan on Lulu's Alakazam, tracing their Illuminate ability. Glowing, pixelated markings appeared all over its blocky body, a cheap knockoff of the Illumina state.

"You heard her, Narcissus! Hypnotize that thing!" Leo ordered his Kirlia, who fired hypnotic beams from their eyes. However, the digital monster deftly dodged the attack, and continued to zip around the room at high speeds. The young man gritted his teeth. "Argh, stop moving!"

quickly, things were getting out of hand. her alakazam raised a spoon, glowing as it used gravity to pull the porygon down to the ground. furniture surrounding cracked, and creaked until it stacked tightly in a circle around their catch.[break][break]

a gasp of alarm from an employee at the damage earned a snap of lulu’s head, eyes immediately homing in the phone in the young woman’s hand. it brushed back her hair as it pressed to her ear urgently.[break][break]

in a wisp of darkness, lulu disappeared from where she’d been standing, only to reappear in the woman’s shadow. she plucked the phone out of her hand. ”no.”

"How did she do that...?" Leonicio quietly muttered, golden eyes glinting with intrigue at the demonstration of Lulu's avatar abilities. She was powerful AND knew how to use that power. Was she trying to turn him on?

Oh right, they were supposed to silence a witness. Leo simply pointed at the girl, and Narcissus cast a Hypnosis on her, causing her to instantly fall asleep. However, before she could drop to the floor, the young playboy swooped in and caught her limp body in his arms. "Shh shh... No need to be alarmed, dear. This is just a bad dream." He whispered into the girl's ear.

With the Porygon safely barricaded within displaced pieces of furniture, Narcissus was able to hypnotize it as well. The artificial Pokémon switched into sleep mode, its pixelated pupils turning into dashes. "That thing is all yours, boss." Leo said, while gently setting the sleeping employee on a sofa, placing a pillow underneath her head.

lulu took a step back, watching the girl as she was delivered to the ground more gently by the hands of the romeo wannabe that had come along for the mission. hopefully, he wouldn’t stand in the way of what would happen next.[break][break]

another pokeball was drawn, this one releasing a porygon-z. as it levitated in the air, it was remarkably smooth in its movements, lacking much of the glitchiness of others of its kind. altered. better.[break][break]

”pz-02: dreamweaver.”[break][break]

it hovered above the girl, and from her shocked, parted lips, dreams rose in wisps. in the air, they then began to change. the nebulous pink clouds smoothed, gleaming holographic in the light through the windows, before disappearing in pixel-like batches of data. collected, for later use.[break][break]

meanwhile, lulu went to collect their fallen catch. ”well done,” she praised simply, bending to hoist the slumbering duck off the ground. when she turned back, it was cradled in the crook of her elbow.[break][break]

The Porygon-Z's preying of the girl's dreams was met with cold indifference on Leo's part. Just because he'd whispered sweet nothings into her ear didn't mean he cared about her safety. He just cared about her keeping her mouth shut.

After Lulu had secured their catch, the young model clapped his hands slowly. "A Porygon that's been modified to process human dreams. You're full of surprises, aren't you?" He remarked with a sly grin.

Once again, his superior was all business, suggesting that they vacated the premises. "Right..." The Rocket grunt sighed. "Where to?" He asked, his Kirlia ready to cast a Teleport at a moment's notice.

a pokeball returned her porygon-z as she stepped closer to her alakazam, macro cosmos porygon still in tow like a football under her arm.[break][break]

the grunt’s question was returned with a short, vague answer. ”hq. the labs, if you're interested.” where this porygon would reveal whatever data on the mysterious company it contained.[break][break]

she placed a hand on her alakazam, and a bright light teleported pokemon and trainer back to the submarine.

A woman of few words. The air of mystique surrounding her only made her more interesting - like a feminine version of the tall, dark and handsome trope.

"Oh, I'm interested alright!" Leonicio smirked, following Lulu back to Rocket HQ with a well timed Teleport from his own Psychic-type. They'd left the place a bit of a mess, but their target had been secured, and that was all that mattered.
